This 1930s house near Boston was hugely improved by removing the damp, narrow kitchen and building a large open plan kitchen dining family room plus utility, shower room and storage area. Sun pipes provide a surprising amount of light to the utility room and study and the house now suits the owners needs perfectly. The useful pantry was retained and the owners had a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve so the design was a joint effort. The extension features a roof lantern above the dining table, granite worktops in the kitchen and wood burning stove in the family sitting area. Builder Paul Blackbourn 07957 718594.
